How It Works

From Zero to Signal in60 Seconds

XERXES is plug-and-play market intelligence. No configuration, no data science degree, no Bloomberg terminal required. Sign up, add tickers, and the AI starts working immediately — surfacing real signal from the noise before you've finished your coffee.

The Process

Four steps. Full clarity.

XERXES was designed so that the path from account creation to actionable signal is as short as possible.

1
Step 1

Create Your Account

Sign up in under a minute. Choose the plan that fits your watchlist size — Starter at $10/mo, Edge at $25/mo, or Pro. No setup wizard, no onboarding maze. The moment your account is created you land directly on a live dashboard.

Pick a plan: Starter (15 tickers), Edge (50 tickers), or Pro (unlimited)

Step 2

Build Your Watchlist

Search for any ticker — stocks, ETFs, indices — and add it to your watchlist. XERXES begins scoring each ticker immediately. The AI scoring engine runs multi-factor analysis in the background so by the time you add your fifth ticker, your first five already have live scores.

Step 3

Read the Market Regime

Before acting on any individual ticker, understand the environment. The Market Overview gives you a real-time macro read: Bullish, Bearish, or Neutral — with a Health Score and Opportunity Score powered by breadth, momentum, and volatility data. Don't trade a Bullish setup in a Bearish regime.

Market Health Score: tracks trend, breadth, and internal strength
Opportunity Score: signals whether conditions favor new entries

Step 4

Act on AI Signals

Every ticker in your watchlist gets a live score from 0–100 plus a plain-English label: Strong Buy, Good Buy, Nibble, Watch, or Wait. No guessing what the number means. The label tells you exactly what the algorithm recommends given current conditions. Use the signal. Make the call. Move on.

Strong Buy (80–100): momentum, sentiment, and technicals all aligned
Good Buy (65–79): strong signal, minor caveats
Nibble (50–64): selective entry zone — scale in carefully
Watch (35–49): not yet — monitor for confirmation
Wait (0–34): avoid or reduce position

How XERXES actually works

Three distinct layers between raw market data and the signal on your screen. Each one exists for a reason.

Layer 01

Data Ingestion

XERXES pulls from 5+ live market data sources including Finnhub, real-time price feeds, news wires, and sentiment aggregators. Data is normalized, timestamped, and pre-processed before it ever reaches the scoring engine. Stale data is flagged and rejected at ingestion.

Real-time price & volume (sub-minute)
News wires and headline sentiment
Technical indicator feeds
Options flow and sentiment signals
Fundamental ratio snapshots
Layer 02

Scoring Engine

The scoring engine fuses momentum signals, technical indicators, and sentiment data into a single 0–100 composite score per ticker. Each factor is weighted dynamically based on the current market regime — momentum factors weight heavier in trending markets, mean-reversion factors in choppy ones.

Price momentum & rate-of-change
RSI, MACD, volume divergence
News sentiment fusion (NLP-scored)
Regime-adaptive factor weighting
Cross-asset correlation checks
Layer 03

Validation Layer

Before a score reaches your dashboard it passes through a validation layer that cross-references the result against multiple independent signals. If confidence is low or data sources disagree, the score is flagged or withheld. Bad data never reaches your screen.

Multi-source cross-validation
Stale/outlier data auto-rejected
Confidence threshold gating
Signal consistency scoring
Continuous re-validation on refresh
Data Flow

From raw feed to your screen

Every score passes through four distinct stages before it appears on your dashboard — ingestion, scoring, validation, and delivery.

FAQ

Common Questions

Everything you need to know before you start using XERXES in your daily trading routine.

How real-time is the data?

Market data refreshes every 30 seconds on the Edge and Pro plans. Starter plan refreshes every 2 minutes. News headlines and sentiment data update on every refresh cycle. The Market Regime display and individual ticker scores both update on each cycle — you're never looking at stale signal.

How does the scoring algorithm actually work?

The XERXES scoring engine combines momentum indicators (rate-of-change, moving average crosses), technical signals (RSI, MACD divergence, volume patterns), and NLP-based news sentiment into a single weighted composite score from 0 to 100. The weights shift dynamically based on the current market regime — so a trending bull market and a choppy sideways market don't use the same formula. The result is a regime-appropriate, multi-factor signal rather than a static mathematical output.

What do the score labels mean exactly?

Strong Buy (80–100) means momentum, sentiment, and technicals are all aligned positively. Good Buy (65–79) is a strong signal with minor caveats. Nibble (50–64) suggests a selective entry — consider scaling in rather than a full position. Watch (35–49) means conditions are not favorable yet but worth monitoring. Wait (0–34) means avoid new entries and consider reducing existing exposure.

What is the difference between the Health Score and the Opportunity Score?

The Market Health Score measures the overall condition of the broad market — trend strength, internal breadth, and volatility regime. Think of it as "is the market healthy right now?" The Opportunity Score measures whether the current conditions are favorable for new entries — it factors in dip depth, breadth extremes, and momentum exhaustion. A low Health Score combined with a rising Opportunity Score is the classic dip-buying setup. Both scores together give you the full macro context.

How does XERXES differ across plans?

All plans include the full scoring engine, Market Regime display, and AI signals. The main differences are watchlist size (15 tickers on Starter, 50 on Edge, unlimited on Pro), refresh rate (2 minutes on Starter vs 30 seconds on Edge and Pro), and advanced features like daily recap reports and priority data feeds which are Edge and Pro exclusive. Market Academy is included on every plan at no extra charge.

Does XERXES tell me when to sell?

XERXES scores reflect current signal strength, not entry price or portfolio position. If a ticker you hold drops from a Good Buy score to a Watch or Wait score, that is a signal that conditions have deteriorated. You can use score changes as one input in your exit discipline — but the platform is designed to inform your judgment, not replace it. XERXES is a monitoring and intelligence tool, not a robo-advisor.
